Jaipur Metro Phase 2 Approved: New Routes to Cover East and South Jaipur
The Rajasthan government has approved Phase 2 of Jaipur Metro, which will extend the network to Sitapura, Sanganer Airport, and Vaishali Nagar.
The Rajasthan government has given the green light to Phase 2 of the Jaipur Metro, which will significantly expand the network beyond the existing Mansarovar–Chandpole corridor.
Phase 2 details:
•Corridor 1 Extension: Chandpole to Badi Chaupar extension into walled city
•New Corridor: Transport Nagar to Sitapura (East-South)
•New Corridor: Ambabari to Sanganer Airport (North-South expansion)
•Total new length: ~31 km
•New stations: ~27
Sanganer Airport connectivity: For the first time, Jaipur Metro will connect to Jaipur International Airport, a long-standing demand from residents and tourists.
Phase 2 is expected to triple the Jaipur Metro network and serve as a major boost for the tourism industry of India's Pink City.
